What is the meaning behind Bella Vita... and who are we?

Bella Vita means Beautiful Life.  

​

We met in the summer of 2018. A Canadian girl and an American boy. A ferry ride and a border crossing couldn't keep us apart and we were married right here in Sekiu. With 6 kids and 4 grandkids spread across two countries we needed the opportunity to have more flexibility in our scheduling so opted to leave our original 9-5 lifestyles behind and create a full-time life in Sekiu. When we are not on the water Bryan can be found in the garage rebuilding one of the many classic cars that seem to accumulate around us and I (Cara) will most likely be found baking bread or some other culinary creation to fill the freezers and pantry with.

We are living our dream life; fishing and exploring the PNW!  

 

This is where you go to hit the reset button. It’s where simplicity suddenly makes sense and people are reminded of the things that bring them the most joy. We hope you love it here as much as we do.
